
ABOUT MARILYN
Pro-Life Conservative Committed to Excellence
Marilyn served on four committees in the House of Representatives this term. Sh served as the Vice Chair of Health Services and Long Term Care. She also served on Transportation, Non-Appropriated Agencies and Administrative Rules Committees. Marilyn conducted two interim studies in the interim and started building relationships with various boards and commissions as well as spending time with constituents, getting to know District 100 in new ways.
Marilyn Stark has served the community for a number of years, holding a variety of roles and titles throughout her career. One of the first things her friends and family will tell you is that she has always committed to fight for the underdog, and for truth, transparency and accountability, both personal and corporate. Committed to change in our world, Marilyn has set her standards high, and will not stop fighting until a proper balance has been reached.
Marilyn worked in Intensive Care and Home Health as a Registered Nurse for 15 years followed by almost 20 years at Love Link Ministries, Inc. She has a wide variety of experience. Marilyn has always been committed to helping others. As a nurse, she learned to assess a situation, make life and death decisions, and act, often under stressful circumstances. Marilyn also learned to advocate for patients and families.
Marilyn served as a volunteer, office manager, board member and ultimately as the Executive Director of Love Link Ministries, Inc. The organization worked with men trying to leave drugs and alcohol behind; helped feed the working poor and unemployed; and worked to restore dignity and empower each individual. She has worked with budgets; navigated Federal, City and State agencies; and networked with various non-profit, city and state agencies to meet needs.
